In 2024 my father passed away due to complications of diabetes. He was a man who never trusted doctors, and those untreated years took their toll. My family’s relationship with him was difficult and it was my mother suffered the most through it all. Yet, there were flashes of joy in their relationship. Here is one of those warm, intimate moments between them.
